HAHAHAHAHA Welcome back to a supposedly fortnightly adventure of T.R.Y.! This week, we decided to go to this little cafe hidden away from the main stretch of Upper Thomson. Before you ask why is it always Upper Thomson, it is because it is convenient for the three of us as we have a direct bus there from school and direct bus(es) home. Cute little place with a quiet environment. Very small but luckily we went at 3.45pm so we managed to get a table. They have 2 bigger table that will seat 4 and 4 small table for 2. It can only accommodate about 16 people. I've forgotten to take picture of their menu and place (something I seem to not remember nowadays. Sorry :( ). They have a variety of dessert pies, coffee and tea. Today we ordered one pie each. T with the Pineapple Passionfruit Yoghurt. R with Grasshopper which is just Chocolate Mint. Chill no grasshoppers were hurt in the process. Y (aka me) with one of their Favourites (best seller I reckon?) Strawberry Lemon.

Top: Pineapple Passionfruit Yoghurt. ($7.50) Bottom: (Left) Strawberry Lemon ($7), (Right) Grasshopper ($8)
Ambience: 6 Pie(s): -(Strawberry Lemon) 5. Weaker sour taste compared to the one below. Taste kinda similar though. -(Pineapple Passionfruit Yoghurt) 6. I like mine the most oops. I love the sour aftertaste. Actually, I just like sour foods in general. Would be good if it's slightly less sweet.
I think there are better mint flavoured alternatives elsewhere. Value: 4. Disappointing serving size. Overall comments: The plate that they serve the food is ugly.Seems like a good, secret corner for studying though.

Ambience: 7 Pie(s): -(Strawberry Lemon) 6 -(Pineapple Passionfruit Yoghurt) 7 -(Grasshopper) 6 Value: 5 Overall comments: I still think its cake. Strawberry Lemon has a milky taste in the end which I'm not very fond of, although the first bite was nice. Passionfruit does not have a nice first bite but has a nice smooth finish which makes me want to try more. Grasshopper is just your typical chocolate mint. Nothing special but at least it is chunky in size (more money worth). Finished the pies pretty fast but leaves me pretty much unsatisfied.
Y: Ambience:7 Pie(s): -(Strawberry Lemon) 6 -(Pineapple Passionfruit Yoghurt) 6.5 -(Grasshopper) 6 Value: 5 Overall comments: A little expensive, nice little place tucked behind the main Upper Thomson stretch. Also, slightly disappointed with the Strawberry Lemon cos its supposedly their bestseller, the lemon taste of the glaze was a tad too strong, the after taste is not as nice as the PPY. PPY seems like a weird combination and a little too sweet at first but it slowly somehow went together really well, leaving behind a nice smooth aftertaste. The chocolate mint was normal, nothing interesting there, reminded me of girl guide cookies I used to buy.
95 Soo Chow Walk.
Because we were left unsatisfied, we went to NunSongYee down the road. Another disappointment, so heres a photo but I'm not going to do a review. We unanimously agree that O'maSpoon at Somerset313 is much better.
